Creating Chain Stitches

To begin, make the needed quantity of chain stitches for your project.

Increasing Chain Stitches

Once you have your chain stitches, add 2 chain stitches to increase.

Starting the Single Crochet

Next, perform the first single crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from the crochet hook.

At this point, you will have 2 stitches on the crochet hook.

Completing the Crochet

Finish the crochet by drawing the yarn through the 2 stitches that are on the crochet hook.

Continuing the Pattern

Make single crochets in every stitch for the remainder of your row. Remember to make 2 chain stitches at the end of each row before turning your work.
