Comprehensive Crochet and Knitting Instructions for Stylish Knitwear

You'll Need:

250 (300)g of black yarn and 150 (200)g of white yarn (75% polyacryl, 25% wool, 162m/50g);

Crochet Patterns:

Crochet Pattern on 15 Sts:

Crochet with black yarn according to the scheme. Start each row with the stated quantity of chain sts and follow the pattern, repeating the pattern and finishing with sts after the pattern.

Wavy Pattern on 13 Sts:

According to scheme 1, on which both right-side and wrong-side rows are stated. Repeat sts of the pattern and 1st-14th rows. Crochet 1 pattern of black yarn and 1 pattern of white yarn alternately.

Fancy Pattern on 4 Sts:

Following scheme 2, which only states right-side rows. In wrong-side rows, create stitches according to the ornament, slip sts (yarn in front of work), and slip yarn overs from the knitting needle. Start with the st before the pattern, repeat sts of the pattern, and finish with the st after the pattern. Repeat 1st-12th rows, crocheting 1st-2nd and 7th-8th rows with black yarn, and the rest of the rows with white yarn.

Arches (Black Yarn):

1st row: single crochets;

2nd row: *1 slip st, skip 2 sts, 5 double crochets in the next st, skip*; repeat from * to *.

Stitches Control:

Wavy and fancy patterns: 20 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with crochet hook: 23 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back:

Cast on 106 (109) sts and knit between selvedge sts with the wavy pattern.

Decrease 7 (10) x 1 st in every 7th (12th) row from both sides for side chamfers.

Bind off the sts at 40 cm height from the set-up row. Fasten the closed edge with 105 (117) single crochets and work with the pattern using a crochet hook, starting from arrow C (B). After 30 cm from the beginning, finish the detail.

Note: Make a paper design for the upper part in natural size. Make decreases for arm-holes matching with this design.

Right Front:

Cast on 53 (58) sts and knit between the selvedge sts with the wavy pattern. Make the left side chamfer in the same way as for the back. After 40 cm, bind off the sts. Fasten this closed edge with 53 (58) single crochets and continue with the pattern using a crochet hook, starting from arrow A.

After 20 cm, bind off the sts according to the design for 12 cm. After knitting 30 cm more, finish the detail.

Left Front:

In symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves:

Cast on 66 (74) sts and knit between the selvedge sts with the fancy pattern. After 46 cm, bind off the sts.

Assembly:

Sew shoulder seams, assemble the sleeves, and create side and sleeve seams. Fasten all edges with arches, making 3 button-holes as shown in the photo: create 2-3 chain sts in the 1st arch instead of a single crochet. Finally, sew the buttons.
