Create Your Unique Vintage-Inspired Wall Clock with Neptune and Lifebuoy Decoration

You'll Need:

Exposed root;

Paint for vintage decoration in gray and light-brown colors;

Wax for wood;

Flint paper (120 grittiness);

Clock drive;

Circle pattern for the clock;

Photoboard in white, vanilla, yellow, apricot, and ultramarine colors;

Pencils in white, hot pink, blue, and brown colors;

Shells and other sea accessories;

Colorful glass pebbles;

Varnish markers in white, red, and black colors;

Natural brush;

Scissors;

Mathematical compass;

Glue.

Instructions

Begin by painting the pattern for the wall clock using the vintage decor paint. First, apply a layer of gray paint and allow it to dry. Next, use wax, let it dry again, and then apply a layer of light-brown paint. Ensure the light-brown paint does not completely cover the surface of the base.

Once all layers are dried, gently sand parts of the workpiece with flint paper to create a distressed look.

For the lifebuoy, draw a circle on a white photoboard using a mathematical compass, where the outer contour has a diameter of 8 cm and the inner contour is 5 cm. Use a varnish marker to draw red fields and shade the edges using a blue pencil, blending the pencil marks with your fingertip.

Sketch details of Neptune on a piece of paper, transfer them to the appropriately colored photoboard, and carefully cut them out. Add blush, mouth details, and shade the facial features using suitable colored pencils.

Using varnish markers, embellish with eyes, highlights in the eyes, a nose, and jewels on the crown. Assemble the parts according to the reference photo and make cutouts after the glue has dried.

Finally, attach Neptune along with the lifebuoy to the clock blank. Use driftwood, seashells, and colorful glass pebbles to replace the numbers. Install the clock mechanism with the hands on the completed workpiece.
