How to Knit Baby Booties Using KARTOPU BABY COTTON Yarn

You'll Need:
1/2 skein of KARTOPU BABY COTTON yarn (50% cotton, 50% acryl, 260m/100g);
Double pointed knitting needles 3;
Frame needle.
Instructions
Cast on the needed quantity of stitches, depending on the foot length (multiplied by 4). For a foot length of 10 cm (suitable for 3-6 months), cast on 40 stitches.
Place 10 stitches on each knitting needle.
Now, let's turn to knitting the rib. Make 1 purl and 1 knit stitch around for 20 rows.
After finishing the rib, transfer 2 stitches from the second needle to the first at the beginning of the row, resulting in 12 stitches on this knitting needle. This will be the front part of your bootie with a braid.
Pattern Rows
1st row: 2 purls, 8 knit stitches, 2 purls;
2nd row: follow the ornament;
3rd-6th rows: knit odd rows according to the scheme, and even rows follow the ornament;
7th row: 2 purls, transfer 4 knit stitches to an auxiliary needle and leave behind work, knit 4 stitches, knit 4 stitches from the auxiliary needle as knit stitches, 2 purls. Repeat this for a total of 19 rows.
Divide the base stitches as follows: leave 12 stitches for the sole, 8 stitches on each side needle. You will catch up the edging stitches of the front part, where the braid is located, with the side needles to achieve 12 stitches in front, 12 stitches in back, and 17 stitches for each side (length of the booties).
Knit around 6 rows with knit stitches.
Next, form the so-called "pintuck" to help the booties maintain their shape. For this, knit 3 rows with purls, followed by 3 rows with knit stitches.
Each wrong side stitch corresponds to a knit stitch. To make the "pintuck," insert the needle into the edging wrong side stitch, throw it on the working needle close to the knit stitch, and knit them together. Repeat this to the end of the row.
Knitting the Sole
Begin knitting from the toe cap of your bootie. To do this, turn your work and knit purls. Transfer the last stitch on the nonworking side needle and knit them together.
Then, turn your work to the right side and repeat for the wrong side. Knit the remaining stitches in the same fashion.
To bind off the stitches, take the frame needle and measure the thread length twice as long as the width of your booties. Sew the bootie together with the Kitchener stitch (stitched in stitches).
For this, insert the frame needle into the 1st stitch of lower and upper rows from bottom to up, then again into the 1st lower stitch from bottom to up; pull from bottom to top from the 2nd stitch of the lower row, then slip the stitch from the knitting needle.
Next, insert the frame needle from top to bottom in the edging stitch of the upper row and pull from bottom to up from the 2nd stitch of the upper row. Insert the frame needle from top to bottom in the 2nd stitch of the lower row and from bottom to up in the 3rd stitch. Bind off the rest of the stitches in a similar manner.
