A Comprehensive Guide to Slip Stitch Techniques for Knitting Patterns

Use the following slip stitch techniques to create unique knitted patterns.

2/2RC Technique

2/2RC: Slip 2 sts to a cable needle and hold in back, knit 2, then knit 2 from the cable needle.

2/2LC Technique

2/2LC: Slip 2 sts to a cable needle and hold in front, knit 2, then knit 2 from the cable needle.

Knitting Instructions

Knitted in a multiple of 8 sts.

Row Guidance

Row 1 - right side: Knit.

Row 2: Purl.

Row 3: * 2/2RC, 2/2LC; repeat from * to end.

Row 4: Purl.

Row 5: Knit.

Row 6: Purl.

Row 7: * 2/2LC, 2/2RC; repeat from * to end.

Row 8: Purl.

Repeat from rows 1 to 8.
