MATERIALS:

  • Caron Simply Soft (White - less than 3oz & Bone - less than 1oz)
  • Hook Size G
  • Stitch Marker

Gauge: 4 single crochets = 1"
6 rows of singles = 1"

Stitches: ch, sc, dc, sc puff st, fpdc, bpdc.

SC PUFF ST = Yo, pull up loop 4 times, 9 loops on hook, yo, pull thru 8 loops, yo, pull thru 2 loops,
push puff to front of work.

FPDC = Yarn over, insert hook from the front side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row;
yo and pull up a loop (3 lps on hk)
yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hk)
yo and draw through two lps (1 lp on hk)

BPDC = Yarn over, insert hook from the back side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row;
yo and pull up a loop (3 lps on hk)
yo and draw through two lps (2 lps on hk)
yo and draw through two lps (1 lp on hk)

Difficulty: MEDIUM

R1: With White, ch4. 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top of beg ch4. (12dc)

R2: Ch1, do not turn. 2sc bet all sts. Place Marker. (24sc)

NOTE: Do not turn and do not join rounds unless indicated.

R3: Sc in ea sc. Place Marker. (24sc)

R4: (2sc in next st. Sc in next st) around. Place Marker. (36sc)

Rs5-6: Rep R3. (36sc)

R7: Rep R4. (54sc)

Rs8-9: Rep R3. (54sc)

R10: Rep R4. (81sc)

Rs 11-34: Rep R3. (81sc)

Sc2tog (this will make the stitch count even)
Sl st in the next st.

Fasten off.

R35: Turn. Join Bone with a sc in the same st where you fastened off. Sc Puff St in the next st.

Join with a sl st in the 1st sc.

R36: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. Join with a sl st.

R37: Do not turn. Ch3, Dc in ea sc.

R38: Sl st around the post of the same dc as joining. Ch3, Bpdc around next st.
