Materials
- US 11 (8 mm) knitting needles
- 328 yards of light/#3 weight yarn (I used 1 yarn cake of Mandala Sparkle by Lion Brand in the “Draco” colorway)
- Yarn/tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
Sizing
The scarf measures:
- 6 inches wide
- 80 inches long
Note: To change the sizing, see below for stitch multiples for changing the scarf width and the row repeats to change the scarf length.
Pattern Notes
Easily change the scarf width by adjusting the number of cast on stitches (see below for pattern multiples).
Change the length of the scarf by working more rows of the pattern.
Pattern Instructions
Begin by casting on:
CO 22 stitches (any even number)
Work the following rows:
- Rows 1-4: Knit
- Row 5: K2, *yo, k2tog; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, then K2
Repeat rows 1-5 until desired length, ending on row 4.
Finishing Touches
- BO all stitches.
- Break yarn and fasten off.
Weave in any ends and your scarf is ready to wear!
