  • 9mm US Size M/N-13 crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Measuring tape

Instructions

Row 1: FSC 70 (118, 144, 176, 196, 236) if you're unfamiliar with foundation stitches then use the chain instructions below:

OR ch 71 (119, 145, 177, 197, 237) and sc in the 2nd ch and in each ch across, turn. (70, 118, 144, 176, 196, 236 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next stitch and in each st across to the end of the row, turn. (70, 118, 144, 176, 196, 236 sts)

Row 3: Rep last row 2 more times (4 rows total), or until work measures 2”/5cm tall.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in same st and in next 2 sts, *{flo sc in next st, blo sc in next st} rep from * until there are 3 sts left, sc in last 3 sts, turn.

Rep Row 4 until work measures 36”/91cm (58”/147.5cm, 88”/223.5cm, 88”/223.5cm, 88”/223.5cm, 88”/223.5cm) long, or to your desired length.

Rep Row 2 for 4 rows total = 2”/5cm.

Cut yarn and weave in ends.

Notes

If you want to add an additional border, you can join yarn with a sl st to any corner. Single crochet evenly around the entire blanket. In each corner place (sc, ch 1, sc). When you get back around to your first st, join with a sl st. Now you can add any border you like or finish off. Remember any changes will require more yarn.
