Step-by-Step Guide to Crochet Circle Motives for Your Next Project

Size

M

You'll Need

  • 400 g of 100% cotton yarn (105m/50g)
  • Crochet hook size 4

Instructions

Circle Motive

Crochet with circle rows according to the scheme. Make a chain of 6 chain stitches and connect it with a slip stitch for each motive. Create 8 spiral circle rows as instructed, but transition to each next row using a chain stitch. The motives should form a rounded hexagon, with each 9 single crochets creating a lateral border, separated by arches. Sew the motives together as per the design scheme. Only use whip stitch to connect the 9 single crochets of the lateral border of the adjacent motive. The scheme will show you the placement for the back/front and left sleeve. For the right sleeve, follow the same procedure.

Stitches Control

1 circle motive measures 11.5 x 11.5 cm; lateral border measures 5 cm.

Back/Front

Make 38 circle motives and sew them together according to the scheme. To achieve this, arrange 8 circle motives in a row. Sew the 8th motive to the 1st to create a complete circle. Create a second circle in the same manner, attaching the motives to the 1st circle with displacement. Repeat this process for the next 2 circles. For the back and front, sew 3 more motives above the last 4 motives with displacement.

Sleeves

Create 7 circle motives for each sleeve and sew them together according to the scheme. Finally, attach the sleeves to the front and back sections.
