How to Knit a Cotton Blanket with Fringe




You’ll Need:
3 skeins of 100% cotton yarn (200m/100g);
Knitting needles 4.
Instructions
Cast on 140 stitches and make 4 rows with stockinette stitch. In the 5th row, work with knit 2 together (70 stitches). In the 6th row, make yarn over after each stitch. In the 7th row, make all knit stitches. For the next 4 rows, continue with stockinette stitch. Repeat the steps from the 5th to the 7th rows.
Knit the next 1.5 meters with a straight one-piece cloth.
Fringe
Repeat the pattern, as in the beginning of the work.
1st Row: knit 2 together;
2nd Row: all purls, make yarn over after each stitch;
3rd Row: knit.
Make the next 4 rows with stockinette stitch. Repeat the pattern from the 1st to the 3rd rows. In the next row, bind off the stitches.
If you want, you can fasten the edges of the blanket with a shrimp stitch.
