Wall Post Error Message

Someone wrote a welcome to me on my wall and I wanted to respond. I tried typing in the box for it under message and got a wall posting error message. So I tried clicking on the link to post to the wall above her message, typed my message hit send and same error message popped up. Am I doing something wrong or is there a glitch with the site? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
