Nov 22, 2021 02:56 AM

Nice and simple Christmas tree decorations.

You’ll need:

Small amount of yarn in 2 different colours or just white if you make an icicle

Glitter yarn

Stitch marker

Crochet hook that goes with your yarn

Note: You can make the mini wind spinner in many different lengths. In the photo with three ornaments each is a different size. The largest one starts with Chain 40, The middle one (white) with Chain 30 and the smallest one Chain 20. The pattern is the same for any length. After chaining, attach stitch marker in the stitch below the hook.

Instructions

Row 1. Slip stitch in the second st from hook. 2 sc in the next st and in all sts of the chain until 1 ch st left. Sl st in the last stitch. Cut yarn.

Row 2. Join a different colour yarn at the end that has the stitch marker. Ch1, (2 sc in next st) twice, 2 hdc in next st and in all sts until 3 sts left at the end of the row. (2 sc in next st) twice, sl st. Cut yarn.

(Optional if you want a wider wind spinner) Row 3. Join a different colour yarn at the end that has the stitch marker. Ch1, (2 sc in next st) twice, (2 hdc in next st) twice, (2 dc in next st, ch1) repeat until 5 sts left at the end of the row. (2 hdc in next st) twice, (2 sc in next st) twice, sl st. Cut yarn.

Last row (the same whether you made 2 or 3 rows)  Join glitter yarn at the end that has the stitch marker. Ch 1, sc in the back loop of every stitch across.

Fasten off and weave in all ends. Add a hanging loop. Shape the ornament so that the spiral is even.
