I would like to know you better

Jan 24, 2021 02:16 AM

Hello, ladies!

Let's chat a bit.

I would like to know you better and your preferences in knitting or crocheting or maybe other hobbies.

How long have you been knitting or crocheting for?

Do you like both knitting or crocheting?

What do you start with: knit or crochet?

Thank you very much for your answers in advance!

I have been crocheting for about 8 years now.  I would like to learn how to knit.  I also do plastic canvas, jewelry, ornmanents, sewing, embroidery,  paint by number, diamond dots, painting wooden items, felt sequin, and hooked rugs.  I am going to try making some candles and other homemade stuff.  I love to learn new things.  I am always trying to find new things to try

Hi Susan,

I have been crocheting since my Grandma taught me when I was seven.  I can make anything out there that is crocheted.  I tried knitting awhile back when my kids were babies but it didn't stick with me.  While I love the way knitting looks as a finished piece, sometimes better than crocheting I usually try to make it by converting the pattern to crochet.  It takes a few tries but I make it work.   There's nothing in the world like creating something from scratch.

Hi, Susan

My name is Kimberly (nickname Kimber). I picked up crocheting for the first time almost a year ago. I have made a few hats, cowls, and a baby blanket, but I am interested in making a variety of things from Ami to Garments! However, with that said, I would also love to learn to knit, make soap, candles, and perfumes one day too!

These are just a couple of my crochet things from this past year! The blanket was the very first thing I made ( I never start out too easy) The hat I finished 3 days ago! :)

70 + years. I started with knitting. I knitted off and on until 2 years ago. I tried crocheting and found it to be more relaxing...only 1 stick!

Hi Susan:
I’m retired and travel every 2-3 months.  My life is busy, but I love to paint and crochet!  One of these days, I hope to crochet lots of sweaters!  I’m don’t knit much, I only knit slippers.  Stay safe and healthy!       Joan

Hi Susan,

I’ve been knitting on/off for about 30 years and tried crocheting but didn’t keep it up. I crocheted two blankets and enjoyed it but went back to knitting. Now I regret not learning more after seeing all the gorgeous crocheted amigurumi I want to make for my grandson. Anyway, I also do stained glass, mosaics, embroidery, drawing, painting and gardening.

Hello Susan,

I have been crocheting for 61 years.Tried knitting but too stressful. I’m my husbands full time caregiver so crocheting has helped with the stress.Love decorating our house in Americana so was always searching for furniture to paint. Mostly crochet rainbow afghan’s and lately buffalo check. Always working on three or four at a time.

Hi, I'm Ree & have been crocheting for 43 now.  Would love to learn more about knitting.  I also do alot of scrapbooking, ceramics & some light sewing/quilting.  I also attend once a week pray shawl meeting, making shawls for patients at my local hospital.  My grandchildren keep me busy too, always needing yarn to make projects for them!  They have asked that I make doll clothes now which I've never crocheted or even knit doll clothes so I'm interested in learning.
