Remember your first cloth

Jan 08, 2021 10:58 PM

Hello, my dear knitters and crocheters!

Yesterday, when I showed my daughter's first results, I remembered my first experience.

At first, were knitting needles. I was about 12 years old and my granny tried to teach me how to knit. For the first sight, I thought, that it was impossible. But I didn' what to make a "simple scarf or hat" and told my Granny, that I'd make a blanket.

It was a very funny blanket and uneven, but I managed to finish it.

So, never says, that something is impossible, when you really want to make something, you'll do it for sure!

Tell me about your first experience.

What do you start with - crochet hook or knitting needles?

What was your first thing?

Crochet at around 10. My mother used to do doilies or embroidery. I didn't do it much until recently so I still am learning new stitches since Mom only taught chain, sc, dc and 1/2 dc stitches. I have always wanted to knit but wasn't successful trying to learn from a book
