You’ll need:

4 (5, 6, 7) balls of King Cole Bamboo Cotton Dk;

Crochet hook 5 mm;

Tapestry needle;

Scissors

15 x 15 cm piece of cardboard

Stitches control: 17 sts x 7 rows = 10 cm measured over dc.

Special Stitches

3 dc cluster – (yoh, insert hook into next st, yoh, pull through, yoh and pull through 2 loops on hook) 3 times, yoh and pull through all 4 loops on the hook

4 dc cluster – (yoh, insert hook into next st, yoh, pull through, yoh and pull through 2 loops on hook) 4 times, yoh and pull through all 5 loops on the hook


Instructions

With 5 mm hook chain 130 (162, 192, 226).

Row 1: sc into 2nd ch from hook, (5 ch, miss 3 ch, sc in next ch) rep across, turn [32 (40, 48, 56) ch5-sp].

Row 2: 4 ch (counts as 1 tr), (3 dc in next 5ch-sp, 1 ch) rep across, 1 tr in last sc, turn [98 (122, 146, 170) sts].

Using the piece of cardboard make fringe for the bottom. Wrap the yarn around 5 times for each fringe. Attach through each 5 ch-sp at the bottom edge of the vest.
