How to Knit with 100% Merino Wool: A Step-by-Step Guide

You'll Need
300g of 100% Merino wool (307m/100g);
Circle knitting needles 3.5;
Markers.
Size
84 x 178 cm
Stitches Control
1 pattern repeat = 18 sts = 9 cm.
Instructions
Cast on 12 sts with the auxiliary yarn.
Then, turn to knitting with the main yarn. Leave a 30 cm loose end of yarn.
Row Instructions
1st row - wrong side: slip 1 st as purl, yarn in front of work, 4 knit sts, marker, 1 purl, marker, 1 purl from broaching, marker, 1 purl, marker, 5 knit sts (13 sts);
Set-up row: slip 1 st as purl, yarn in front of work, 4 knit sts, 1 row of the main scheme to the next marker, 1 st of stockinette stitch (= central st), 1 row due to the main scheme to the next marker, 5 knit sts.
Continuing the Work
Continue knitting according to the scheme for 35 more rows. Make 5 sts with garter stitch at the beginning and end of each row. Ensure to create the center of the work with stockinette stitch (89 sts).
Then, knit the part from 21st to 36th rows, repeating it 8 times. You'll achieve 377 sts. Finally, work according to the scheme until the end of the work, resulting in 413 sts on the knitting needles.
Finishing the Project
Make the next 11 rows with garter stitch on all the sts. Bind off these sts on the right side. Carefully pull out the auxiliary yarn. Transfer 6 sts to the double-pointed knitting needles, and sew the sts with "stitch in stitch" seam, using the loose end that you've left before.
