Drawstring/Strap
For the drawstring strap, we’ll make our shoulder strap by making our desired length times two. For example, if I want my strap to be 30″, I’ll make my strap chains to 60″ end to end.
Make the chains until it reaches about 60 inches. Turn, 1 sl st into the back bump of the second ch from the hook, 1 sl st into the back bump of each ch across, cut the yarn and leave about 8″ long tail.
Adding the Drawstring Strap into the Crochet Bag
Thread the drawstring into the bag at the first ch 1 space in round 27 and continue counterclockwise around the bag. Weave the drawstring through each loop all the way around the bag and then weave the end of the drawstring together.
