Caron Simply Soft ww 4 ply yarn

Size "I" Hook

Approx. size: 18x18

Directions:

Stitches used: hdc, pf (puff stitch)

Puff Stitch: (YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, YO and pull up a loop even with stitch on hook) 2 times. YO and draw through all 5 loops on hook.

Ch 52

Row 1: HDC in third chain from hook and each chain across. Ch 2 turn. (50 HDC)

Row 2: HDC in same sp as Ch 2, *HDC in each st. Ch 2 turn. (50 HDC)

Row 3: Ch 2 (count as first hdc), in next stitch (YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, YO and pull up a loop even with stitch on hook) 2 times. YO and draw through all5 loops on hook (first puff stitch made.) * In next stitch (YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, YO and pull up a loop even with stitch on hook) 2 times. YO and draw through all 5 loops on hook. Repeat * until last stitch, hdc in last st. Ch 2 turn

Rnd 4: HDC in same sp as Ch 2, *HDC in each st. Ch 2 turn. (50 hdc)

Rnd 5: HDC in same sp as Ch 2, *HDC in each st. Ch 1 turn. (50 hdc)

Rnd 6: Ch 2 (count as first dc), in next stitch (YO, insert hook in stitch indicated, YO and pull up a loop even with stitch on hook)2 times. Rows 7- 33: Repeat rows 4-6 alternately

Rows 34-35: repeat row 2.

EDGING

Rnd 1: Sc evenly around, using 3 sc in corners. Join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1 sc, in same stitch as ch 1. Sc evenly around, using 3 sc in corners. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
