Round 2

Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as joining, 2 sc in each st around; join with si st in first sc—12 sc.

Round 3

Ch 1, 2 sc in same st as joining, sc in next st, *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around; join with sl st in first sc—18 sc.

Round 4

Fasten off B.

Braids (Make 2)

For each braid, cut 6 strands of B, each 32"/81.5cm long. With 6 strands held together, using crochet hook, pull yarn halfway through bottom edging stitch of one Ear Flap. Braid strands until braid is approximately 4"/10cm long. Tie knot below braid. Trim ends to desired length.

Finishing

Weave in ends.

Tip

To make a larger hat, use a larger hook.
