Worsted Weight Yarn; US size "I" hook; Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Instructions
ch 4
Round 1: (beg ch 3 counts as 1 dc) 7 dc in 4th ch from hook, turn.
Round 2: ch 3, 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 sts, 5 dc in next st (corner made), dc in each of next 2 sts, 3 dc in next st, turn.
Round 3: ch 3, 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 6 sts, 5 dc in next st, dc in each of next 6 sts, 3 dc in next st, turn.
Round 4: ch 3, 2 dc in same st, dc in each of next 10 sts, 5 dc in next st, dc in each of next 10 sts, 3 dc in next st, turn.
Note: For a larger square, continue in the same manner making sure to increase 2 sts in the first and last st of each row and to place the corner in the center dc of the corner from the previous row.
Fasten off at the end of the last row, weave in ends.
